Wedding Ceremony Burlingame Your Wedding at Burlingame United Methodist Church

Marriage is one of the most important events in your life. We would like to make this day very memorable.

While we view the sanctity of marriage from a Christian perspective, we do not require membership in the United Methodist Church. We welcome couples of all denominations.

Situated in beautiful Burlingame, our lovely Spanish-style sanctuary with balcony seating has one of the finest pipe organs on the Peninsula. Combined with stained glass windows and open beamed ceilings, you experience a feeling of warmth in this sanctuary.

To schedule wedding ceremonies, please contact Ursula Morgenstern. You will be asked to make a deposit of $50.00 and fill out a wedding application to hold the reservation. There is also a wedding brochure with additional information.

When your wedding date and time have been confirmed, we will consult with you on all other details concerning your ceremony. Here is a sample Wedding Ceremony.

"I recently attended an event at this church in Burlingame and think it's a beautiful location for a wedding. There was the stained glass filled wedding venue and then across the hall, a large reception area with a slide show (of wedding couple as kids, with family, etc.) and an ajoining kitchen so food prep was out of sight.

"The new minister and Ursula—the coordinator—both seemed very upbeat and helpful. We parked across the street at the huge Safeway parking lot and there was space on the other corner in a bank's parking lot. Worked for us, at least.

"Since I'm new in the area, I went back for a Sunday service at 9:30 and found out they have a rocking good band too. That was a great way to start a Sunday. Seems like there are some nice things going on under that steeple."

The Wedding Ceremony

Your wedding ceremony is a time of Christian worship when you are united in marriage before God. We want to help you in planning a meaningful wedding ceremony.

Our pastors are responsible for all weddings performed at our church. Many couples may wish to invite a guest pastor to co-officiate the ceremony.

Each couple will schedule to meet with the officiating pastor upon making a reservation. This meeting will provide you with an opportunity to become acquainted with the officiating pastor and to plan for your ceremony.
