Your Wedding at Burlingame United Methodist Church
Marriage is one of the most important events in your life. We would like to make this day very memorable.
While we view the sanctity of marriage from a Christian perspective, we do not require membership in the United Methodist Church. We welcome couples of all denominations.
Situated in beautiful Burlingame, our lovely Spanish-style sanctuary with balcony seating has one of the finest pipe organs on the Peninsula. Combined with stained glass windows and open beamed ceilings, you experience a feeling of warmth in this sanctuary. The architect, Charles A. Coolidge, also designed the Chapel at Stanford University.
To schedule wedding ceremonies, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. When your wedding date and time have been confirmed, we will consult with you on all other details concerning your ceremony.
"I recently attended an event at this church in Burlingame and think it's a beautiful location for a wedding. There was the stained glass filled wedding venue and then across the hall, a large reception area with a slide show (of wedding couple as kids, with family, etc.) and an ajoining kitchen so food prep was out of sight.
"Since I'm new in the area, I went back for a Sunday service at 9:30 and found out they have a rocking good band too. That was a great way to start a Sunday. Seems like there are some nice things going on under that steeple."

The Wedding Ceremony
Your wedding ceremony is a time of Christian worship when you are united in marriage before God. We can help you in planning a meaningful wedding ceremony.
Our Pastors, Reverend Dr. Tom Hillman or Reverend Holly Hillman, are available for officiating your wedding. We require a minimum of four Pre-Marriage Counseling Sessions. Our fee includes Pre-Marriage Counseling, Rehearsal, and Ceremony.
We often allow outside ministers to perform the ceremony. One of our Pastors will want to first have a telephone conversation with the outside Pastor Officiating.
Our organist is dedicated to helping you select music that will reflect the joy and commitment you share. You are invited to attend our 11 a.m. Sunday worship service in our sanctuary to listen to our beautiful pipe organ.
We provide two seven-branch candelabras (complete with candles). Most of our ceremonies include the lighting of the unity candle which must be supplied by the bride and groom.
A wedding rehearsal is included in the fee and will be held the same day as the wedding.
Our reception hall with adjoining kitchen is available for receptions for an additional cost. Please note that alcohol is not allowed to be served on our premises.
We ask that no rice, birdseed, confetti or flowers petals be thrown on the church premises.
We ask that all those who take pictures during the ceremony refrain from using a flash.
Smoking is not permitted on church property. Dressing rooms are available for the bride and her party.
Please bring these items on the evening of the rehearsal: wedding license, fees, unity candles
SEATING CAPACITY = Approx. 275

"This is a beautiful church to get married. The wedding coordinator is very sweet and helpful. JoJo, the facility coordinator helped us tremendously on sound checks & recording, reception area setups, kitchen food storage...etc."
