We would love for you to join us for one of our worship services. We think you'll discover for yourself the excitement that's at BUMC. For your first visit...
Choose a Worship service:
We recommend arriving about 10 minutes before the service to allow time for parking and seating.
We are located at 1443 Howard Ave (at El Camino Real, across the street from Safeway) in Burlingame. 650-344-6321 Click here for a map & directions
If you have children:
Before the service, follow the signs to find the nursery, where caring, trained and background-screened staff will care for infants and toddlers. Children are always welcome in worship. At 9:30am, Godly Play is offered to children preK–3rd grade in room #219 and Youth Faith Group is offered to kids 4th grade–Jr High every other week in the upstairs Youth Lounge. Q: What should we wear?
A: At our Sunday gatherings you will see everything from jeans to suits. Most come casually dressed. It's up to you!
Q: Will I be asked to give money?
A: At Burlingame United Methodist Church we never ask our guests to give anything... simply enjoy the worship and teaching that is offered as a gift from our family to you. Of course you can make an offering if you wish, but none will ever be expected. That is the responsibility of our members and regular attenders.
"My family and I recently transferred from New Vision UMC in Millbrae to Burlingame UMC, and we are extremely happy with our decision. The church is beautiful, especially with its huge pipe organ. We feel a strong connection with the pastor, and always benefit from his sermons and warm welcome. We especially enjoy the fantastic live music on Sunday mornings at 9:30am, and the casual yet meaningful worship and message. Everyone has been very kind and friendly to us, yet not 'pushy' to do more than we can or want. We admire and participate in many of the community outreach projects that are organized by BUMC volunteers and staff. The Youth Group is a great way for teens to learn about their faith, and to express their thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental way."
